TANGLAW – A tagalog vocabulary that pertains to a bright light.


                  English “Light” - The FPSC class ’09-34 choose this name to give emphasis on their aim of becoming the leading light to the fire service. The challenges of the modern fire service is what the Tanglaw class ’09-34 is going to face with the use of their training and skills their mentors at FNTI have given them.



              The Induction of Officers and the acquaintance party of FPSC class 09-34 were held on November 27, 2009 at the Multi Purpose Building of FNTI, with CSUPT CARLITO S ROMERO as the guest of honor and speaker. He inducted the overall class officers and unveiled the official logo of “FPSC TANGLAW CLASS ’09-34”. The guest of honor was introduced by no other than SSUPT LUIE S PURACAN, FNTI Dirictor.


              The celebration was also the smokers and recognition of all FPSC TANGLAW CLASS ’09-34.

Sweet and Hardly Earned Training (FPSC Tanglaw Class 2009-34)


         The non commissioned officers with the rank of Fire Officer 3 (FO3) to Senior Fire Officer 3 (SFO3) of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) who undergo training for Fire Protection Supervisory Course (FPSC) offered by the prestigious Fire National Training Institute (FNTI) of the Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC) in Calamba City, Laguna had just graduated. The 123 Fire trainees from all over the country successfully completed the prescribed program of instruction for Fire Protection Supervisory Course.

         With the guidance of the FNTI staff headed by SR SUPT LOUIE S PURACAN, CEO VI, BFP, FNTI Director, the FPSC trainees persevered and finished the rigorous training.

The FPSC training covered the period of November 9, 2009 to December 18, 2009. The recognition of all who achieve an commendable performance was conducted the day before the graduation.

Out of the 123 trainees, there were only 3 female. One from the National Head Quarters, another from Region 4A and the last one, a member of the FNTI staff.

The guest of honor and speaker during the graduation was C SUPT BARAYOGA, the regional director of Region 4a.
